The ministers of the Church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons. The ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ's work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church. --The Episcopal Catechism on The Ministry
Ministry Outside our Church This year our Vestry authorized three ministries that reach outside our church walls. In the future we intend to add many more. We'd be pleased to have you come join us in these ministries.
Summer Day Camp This summer marks the return of our Summer Day Camp program. It is an outreach ministry to children in our neighborhood and beyond. The program runs five days a week for six weeks, July 2 through August 10. For more information, please leave a message for our Camp Director, Ms. Ana Rincon-Lorenzo, by calling 201-434-4810 and leaving a message in Box 5.
Habitat For Humanity of Hudson County We are delighted to welcome a partnership with Habitat For Humanity of Hudson County. Through a cooperative agreement, Habitat now maintains their Construction Office at Incarnation and they use our facilities for a number of purposes, including volunteer meetings and orientation. Follow the link below for more information about Habitat, Hudson County.
Haven of Hope for Kids A very creative and much needed ministry takes place at our sister parish, St. Luke's Church in Hope, NJ. Each summer they invite children with terminal illnesses and their families to take a week or two vacation at their beautiful rural location near the western border of New Jersey. Because many of the families hail from our area, we are pleased to join St. Luke's Church in providing local contacts for the children and families they serve. If you are interested in this ministry please contact Mrs. Ursula Lofton or Fr. Harmon at 201-434-4810. For more information about Haven of Hope for Kids, follow the link below.
