Most Sundays our children participate in Christian formation activities in our Sunday School, which begins at 10:30 AM. Our dedicated Sunday School Coordinator provides a variety of learning opportunities for our kids. Our group is small right now and so it's a bit like the "one-room school house" some of us may have heard of years ago. But each child is loved and cared for as we introduce them to Jesus and invite them to grow in the faith and knowledge of God. Bring your children and come, grow with us in Christian community.
The Pastor's Forum
Following a calendar that varies throughout the year, parishioners meet with the Pastor and his guests Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:15 for adult Christian formation. The topics range from traditional Bible Study to discussion of contemporary issues, from focus on various times in the church year to contemporary expressions of Christian faith. Topics explored last year included "Instead of Death-dealing with death in a death-denying culture," "Soon and Very Soon-Savoring the Advent Season," and "Church Ladies—An exploration of the roles of women in the New Testament Church." Watch for information about upcoming topics and come, grow with us into mature Christian faith.
Other Opportunities to Deepen Your Spirituality
Throughout the year we offer special programs that invite you to deepen your practice of the presence of God in your life. Some events are one-day experiences, like our Advent Quiet Morning or the Lenten Quiet Day. Others are seasonal conversations like our Lenten program, "The Shattering Sound Of Amazing Grace," which met Tuesday evenings in Lent and began with a short form of evening prayer followed by a meal of bread, soup and salad, followed by conversation on a book we were reading together. Watch for more information about upcoming opportunities and come, grow with us in deepening your practice of God's presence in your daily life.
